I am primarily a self-taught artist. My recent and current work is focused on masculine identity, the loss of traditional livelihoods and the decay of the environments they once inhabited. This often converges with the interest I’ve always had in ancient superstitions and myths and how they can often be oddly pertinent to modern issues. I often return to certain motifs and self portraits for inspiration (as Freud said “I’m always available”!).

Most work has some personal narrative though I prefer for the viewer to create their own.
